Arizona Tax Credit Initiative
The goal for the Arizona Tax Credit Initiative for 2011 is to strive for 100% participation among board, faculty, and parents.
Tax Credit Designations
ASA recommends a donation of $1,800 per student per year to the Annual Fund in order to bridge the gap between state funding and the actual cost of an ASA education. A portion of your Annual Fund donation may be designated to the Arizona Tax Credit Initiative or you may also donate directly. Tax Credit contributions are a "designation" of tax dollars owed to the state of Arizona that the school can use to fund extracurricular activities such as:
- Academic Competitions
- Extracurricular Clubs and Activities
- State and Regional Music Festivals
- Year-round Concerts and Recitals
- Select 9th Hour Classes
- Educational Field Trips
- Showcase Costs
- Character Education
A portion of your Arizona State taxes can be designated for ASA and you can receive a dollar for dollar tax credit of:
- up to $400 for those filing jointly
- up to $200 for those filing individually
- All contributions must be postmarked by December 31st to receive credit for the year

Become a Tax Credit Ambassador
ASA community members who find three or more people to contribute to the Arizona Tax Credit become "Tax Credit Ambasssadors" and will receive special recognition in ASA's donor listing. Be sure to submit the names of those you recruit to the the Development Associate, Development Assocaite, by April 30, 2012.
Grandparents, other family members, friends and co-workers who live in the state of Arizona are all eligible to give to the Arizona Tax Credit and become Tax Credit Ambassadors!
All donations are tax deductible. Upon processing your donation, you will receive a tax deductible receipt for your contribution.
Annual Contribution Statements
All donors will receive an annual contribution statement in early February for their contributions made in the previous calendar year. If you did not receive an annual contribution statement for a particular year, please email Development Assocaite.
