Joe Hagan ~ President

Mr. Hagen has been a member of the ASA board since 2006, and serves on the finance and fund raising committees. Mrs. Hagen has one child who attended ASA from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Hagen i sVice President/Investments for Stifel Nicolaus & Company, member New York Stock Exchange. Formerly, Mrs. Hagen was Vice President/Investments with AG Edwards from 1983 through 2008. Mr. Hagen has a B.S. in finance from the University of Arizona.

John Snider ~ Vice President, Finance Committee Chair

Mr. Snider joined the Board in 2008 and currently serves as the Vice President of the Board and Chair of the Finance Commitee. Mr. Snider has two children that attend ASA. Mr. Snider is an investment banker in the Phoenix office of RBC Capital Markets. Mr. Snider has worked for RBC Capital Markets since 1989 and specializes in securing tax-exempt bond financing for K-12 entities and is the head of RBC's national Charter School Finance Group. Mr. Snider is involved with a number of professional and community orgnizations, including currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Phoenix Boys Choir. Mr. Snider has a BS in Finance from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Laura Kozel ~ Treasurer, Fundraising Committee Chair

Ms. Kozel is Chief Credit Officer for the Raza Development Fund, Inc., a support corporation of the National Council of La Raza, and the largest Latino community development financial institution in the nation. She has over 20 year experience in commercial mortgage lending and risk management. She also has been a Senior Vice President and Program Underwriter for First Security Commercial Mortgage, an Asset Manager for AM&G Asset Management Inc., and Assistant Vice President at Western Savings and Loan Assn. She has a Masters Degree in business administration.

Sam Younger ~ Secretary

Mr Younger is currently a Senior Management Consultant for Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. He has worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, the American College of Surgeons, and Western Kentucky University. He has also served as a board member for Ballet Arizona.

Paul Winslow ~ Strategic Planning Committee Chair

Mr. Winslow has designed public and private buldings for over three decaedes with Herman Orcutt in their firm Orcutt/Winslow Architects. Paul has served in all capacities with American Institute of Architects including president of the Central Arizona Chapter. He was elected to the College of Fellows of the AIA in 1997 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the profession. Since the mid 1970's, Paul's expertise in the areas of programming and facilities management has earned him national recognition in the field. Working with the State of Hawaii in the design of six groundbreaking schools, Paul's educational stretegy and design facilitation resulted in the inclusion of the charette process in all Hawaii's future school design.

Jeana Jones ~ Facilities Committee Chair

Ms. Jones has been an active in a number of roles through the Board and the school including co-chair of a major fund raising event. She currently works for Kitchell Development Company and is Project Coordinator, overseeing all due diligence in both acquisitions and sales of proprties; escrow management, leasing, coordinating and supervising tenant improvement work. Ms Jones has over 35 years real estate experience in a variety of industry related fields. She is a licensed real estate agent and has the Certified Commercial IUnvestment Management (CCIM) designation. She has also served in a leadership capacity in a variety of community organizations. Ms. Jones has on echild attending ASA.

Chris Whitten ~ Board Development Committee Chair

Mr. Whitten is a judge in the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County. He earned his law degree at the University of San Diego. He is a member of the State Bars of Arizona and California. He has served in many civic organiztions including; the Arizona Supreme Court Commission on Victims in the Courts, St. Thomas Moor Society Board, and the Recreational Assn. of Madison Meadows and Simis Board.

Linda Baird ~ Finance Committee Member

Linda is a Vice President, Branch Manager, for M&I Marshall and Ilsley Bank. She has worked for M&I Bank since February 2002 and currently manages Arizona Corporate Headquarters branch at One E Camelback Road. Prior to employment with M&I bank Linda was employed for 28 year by Chase Bank. In addition to board membership for ASA, Linda has been involved with many other community organizations such as Communities in Schools and Sunnyslope Kiwanis.

Claire West ~ Development Commitee

Ms. West is currently the business manager for School of Ballet Arizona. She has previously served as Performing Arts Director for the Arizona Commission on the Arts and was on the faculty at Arizona State University in the Dance Department. She currently resides in Phoenix.
