SEPTEMBER 2016
Friday, September 2nd: Admissions Portal Closed
  • The admissions portal will be closed for annual updates.
Thursday, September 22: Rollover Invitations
  • Rollover invitations will be sent via email. Deadline to accept- 8am 9/29
 
OCTOBER 2016
Monday, October 3rd: Admissions Portal Opens
  • We will begin accepting online applications for the 2017-18 school year.
  • Please note this is a 2 part application:
    • Part 1: Submit an electronic application 
    • Part 2: Upload the required paperwork into your admissions checklist
      • Most current attendance and report card, Last year's final attendance and report card, 2 years of Standardized test score report (examples- AzMerits, AIMs, and/or Standford 10) 
 
NOVEMBER 2016
Tuesday, November 15th: Admissions Information Night (Optional)
  • Open to the public
  • Students are welcome to join this event with their parent(s) but are NOT required
  • Walk-in only
  • Campus tours will be offered by our student ambassadors
  • Time: 5 PM- 6:30 PM

JANUARY 2017
Saturday, January 7th: 5th-Grade Placement Testing and Ballet Auditions
  • Academic placement testing starts promptly at 8am
  • Ballet auditions will begin at 9am (for all applicants who had selected ballet as an arts choice)
  • Location: ASA campus
  • More information will be sent directly to parents via email
  • Campus tours will be offered by our student ambassadors 
    • Open to the public (no need to RSVP)
    • Start times: 8:30am, 9am, 9:30am, and 10am
    • Campus tour station: ASA courtyard @ the bandshell
 
Wednesday, January 18th: Online Application Deadline by 11:59pm
  • All applications must be completed by 11:59 pm on January 18th, including all required paperwork in order to be considered for enrollment.
 
Saturday, January 21st: 5th-Grade Placement Testing and Ballet Auditions

Monday, January 23rd: Lottery Drawing
  • Lottery numbers for eligible applicants will be drawn at the Governing Board meeting held on January 23rd, 2017.
  • Although this meeting is open to the public, no lottery information is shared at this meeting.
 
Tuesday, January 24th: REOPEN THE ADMISSIONS PORTAL
  • ASA will continue to accept applications after the lottery drawing (post-lottery applicant).
  • All completed applications will be added to the waitlist in the of date/time of completion

Friday, January 27th: Lottery Number Results
  • Your lottery number will post in your parent-admissions portal.
  • Be sure to view your student's admissions checklist in order for your lottery appear
 
 
FEBRUARY 2017
Wednesday, February 1st: Deadline to Submit Video Auditions for 5th-Grade Applicants
 
Wednesday, February 8th:  1st Wave of Offers for 5th-Grade Applicants ONLY
  • By end of day, offers of enrollment will be sent to 5th-grade applicants via email.
  • We will continue to fill spots as openings become available
  • It is the parents' responsibility to monitor the admissions portal to see any changes in the wait list status.
  • Offers of enrollment will ONLY be sent via email
  • Be sure to check your email daily and double check your spam/junk box
  • Offers are time sensitive  and you must acknowledge the offer in order to secure a spot
 
Friday, February 10th: Waitlist Position Results 
  • All grade levels 
  • Waitlist position will post in your parent/admissions portal
  • Waitlist and lottery numbers are both found above your student's admissions checklist
  • This is a live number and will automatically update with a new number as openings become available
  • The waitlist roster is specific to each grade level

MAY 2017

  • Location: ASA campus

    • Open to the public- No need to RSVP
    • Tour start times: 8am, 8:30am, 9am, 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am
