Students enrolled in ASA’s Middle School (Grades 5-8) participate in four years of coursework in English, math, social studies, science, and life skills. During their course of study, students learn the necessary study skills to build their content and skill knowledge to participate actively in our college preparatory program.
Students demonstrate their knowledge through a variety of assessments to demonstrate their critical thinking skills in both spoken and written forms. Students receive feedback through the use of rubrics in order to improve their performance. During class, students are actively engaged in the learning process through Socratic discussions, labs, debates, and collaborative work.
Middle school students must pass all academic classes in order to promote to the next grade level.
